Studyfyy is an independent project created and operated by Ceren Güney, a 17-year-old developer based in Canada. We are not a corporation — this is a solo project built to help students around the world study smarter for free.

2. What Information We Collect

When you use the Studyfyy app:

• Account information — email address and display name when you sign up
• Study data — subjects, topics, quiz results, exam dates, and study notes you create
• Usage data — how you use the app (features accessed, session duration) to improve the product
• Device information — device type and operating system for compatibility purposes

When you use this website:

• Contact form submissions — your name, email, and message if you reach out to us
• Basic analytics — page visits and referral sources (anonymized)

We do not collect your real name, phone number, address, payment information (donations go directly through PayPal), or any sensitive personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Studyfyy app and website
• To save your study progress and personalize your experience
• To respond to messages and support requests
• To understand how the app is being used so we can make it better
• To send important updates about the app (not marketing spam)

We never sell your data. We never share your personal information with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

Studyfyy uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and user authentication. Your data is stored securely on their servers. Supabase Privacy Policy →
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — powers AI explanations, quizzes, and study roadmaps. Your study content may be sent to their API to generate responses. Anthropic Privacy Policy →
• Expo / React Native — used to build and deliver the mobile app
• Netlify — hosts this website
• Formspree — processes contact form submissions
• PayPal — processes donations (we never see your payment details)
• Google Fonts — loads fonts on this website

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly if we become aware of any data breach affecting your information.

Your data is stored on servers in the United States and/or European Union, depending on Supabase's infrastructure.

6. Children's Privacy

Studyfyy is designed for students of all ages, including those under 13. We do not knowingly collect more personal information than necessary from anyone, and we do not share data with third parties for advertising. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Withdrawal — withdraw consent for data processing at any time

8. Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies — only those necessary for the site to function and for basic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core functionality of this website.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Studyfyy grows. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
